DIALOGUE
Jason3000: hey man what’s going on
Lewis: nothing man, ay I’ve always wanted to ask you something,
Jason3000: yeah man, ask me what you like.
Lewis: all right, what inspired you when making your third album The Comeback? What’s the secret?
Jason3000: well I just travelled for 1 year looking for different sounds and meeting different people. I travelled to a lot of different countries that a never went to and spent a lot of my time looking for new records.
Lewis: really then what did you do?
Jason3000: well then I came home. I just locked myself in this apartment and started listening to all the records I bought and started making music. My life was basically waking up, having breakfast and making music until I feel asleep. Then I would wake up and do the same thing. I pretty much did that till I had made like 30 beats.
Lewis: wow I struggle to make 1 beat. Then what did you do?
Jason3000: then I went back and picked the beats I liked. I ended up picking 15 beats out of the 30 I made and stated editing them and touching them up.
Lewis: how did you find the artists who would be on the album?
Jason3000: well this was the hard part. I sat down with a piece of paper and a pen and listened to every beat, writing down 3 artists I would like to be on the song. When I went through all the beats I then tried to contact all these artists.
Lewis: did contacting them take long?
Jason3000: yeah it took me like 3 months, meeting up with different artist and having them listen to the beats and seeing what they thought.
Thankfully out of all the 3 artists I had for each beat at least one said yes and when more than one said yes I had both of them on the song.
Lewis: oh I see. So that’s how you done it. Did you expect such a good response from all your fans and your label?
Jason3000: not really, I was just trying to make music that I like and I would listen to.
Lewis: well thanks man now I now how you done it. Well what’s for lunch
Jason3000: let’s get a pizza
Lewis: sweet.
